Founded in 1899, the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is dedicated to rescuing domesticated animals and wildlife from suffering, cruelty, abandonment, and neglect. The ARL carries out this mission through our three adoption centers in Boston, Brewster, and Dedham, and our advocacy, law enforcement, rescue, and veterinary services. In 2015, over 13,400 animals received care and assistance through all ARL programs and services. The ARL receives no government or public funding to carry on this important work and relies solely on the generosity of individuals like you to help animals in need.
